If you haven’t checked out the 75th issue of NZV8 magazine, you need to as it will sell out!

Todd and the team have nailed this month’s copy with some serious breathtaking automotive content. I was lucky enough to get a call to check out Aaron Jones’s 1968 Dodge Charger in Palmerston North.

Aaron currently lives overseas so I gave Kevin at Timeless Autos (who did the restoration work) a buzz and sorted out a time to photograph the car. I was making my way to the shoot bright and early and the weather was perfect. Just like that…it all changed.
As I had just made the turn off to Palmerston it started belting down! I had plenty open outdoor locations sorted, but was short for idea’s on undercover spots. I made my way to Kevin’s workshop and prayed he had a suitable backdrop. Unfortunately the space was difficult to use so we went knocking on the neighbour’s door hoping they had a free garage! Fortunately a truck Refrigeration Company had a free space and Kevin and I jumped at the chance to use. Within moments the car was tucked away and getting wiped down before photos took place!
With the car in place I snapped away taking the usual shots needed. Shooting a grey/dark coloured car inside a dark space isn’t ideal but I worked with what I had and think the end result worked well!

Just a couple quick peaks, but check out the full feature plus poster in NZV8 magazine issue #075
