Every job has its perk. I am very fortunate to have a job I love, taking photos and meeting people who have a story to tell.
Late last month I was called to check out Clive Taylor’s property on the out-skirts of Wellington for a feature in the 75th Collectors issue of NZV8 magazine. I didnt know much about the place before I got there other than ‘its impressive’. I caught up with Clive at his work first to get a quick tour. You could say its more of a hang out or dream shed rather than a work place. With so many projects underway it is surprising he gets work done! A huge selection of Mac trucks full the yard (including a wicked Fire Truck), while the garages are full of old classics currently under going a full restoration.
While time was of the essence, I packed my gear into his 1940 v8 pickup (Daily driver) and made way to ‘Clive Town’. Tucked down a long drive sits a piece of history.

Old petrol pumps, lights and signage fills the exterior while inside the shed sits 3 classic Fords. Off to the right sits Clives personal Diner which is very fitting to the era and features an original Coke unit and some great couches.

Check out the latest NZV8 magazine for more images and details..if it hasn’t sold out already?
